Board Member
Daniel Kauffman brings business leadership experience, a strong Christian faith, and a deeply personal connection to vulnerable children and Ukraine. He and his wife, Suzanne, live in western Montana, where Daniel works in sales and management for a construction company. They have six children and one grandchild and are active in their local evangelical church.
In 2019, Daniel and Suzanne adopted two teenage sisters from Ukraine. That experience gave Daniel a much deeper understanding of the impact trauma, loss, social dysfunction, and institutional care can have on children. It also strengthened his connection to Ukraine and deepened his commitment to helping children facing difficult circumstances.
Since the beginning of the war, Daniel has traveled to Ukraine multiple times to assist with humanitarian and relief efforts. Through those visits, he has developed lasting relationships and gained firsthand insight into the challenges facing Ukrainian children and families.
Daniel brings to the NHFC Board many years of business leadership, practical problem-solving, and experience working with people. Rooted in his Christian faith and commitment to family, he is passionate about bringing hope, practical support, and lasting care to vulnerable children.
