Brett Campbell brings extensive experience in leadership development, training, ministry, nonprofit service, and organizational effectiveness to New Horizons for Children. He is passionate about helping vulnerable children and families build stronger futures and supporting organizations that serve them with compassion, integrity, and purpose.
Professionally, Brett is a Master Trainer with Dale Carnegie, where he works with leaders and organizations to strengthen communication, develop high-performing teams, and build cultures of trust, accountability, and effective leadership. He is also the owner and Chief Trainer of True North to Grow, LLC, where he partners with small business owners to improve organizational efficiency, strengthen leadership, and build healthier, higher-performing organizations.
Before moving into professional training and consulting, Brett spent 25 years in pastoral ministry. During that time, he invested deeply in children, families, and communities through mentoring, outreach, spiritual leadership, and the development of ministry teams and programs. His years in pastoral leadership strengthened his understanding of the challenges families face and deepened his commitment to service-driven leadership.

Brett also brings nonprofit governance and fundraising experience to the NHFC Board. He previously served as Board Chair of The Davenant Institute, where he helped guide the organization through a leadership transition and supported the Board as it prepared for its next phase of growth.
A veteran of the United States Army’s 101st Airborne Division, Brett’s commitment to service has been a consistent thread throughout his life. His military, ministry, nonprofit, and professional experiences have shaped a leadership style grounded in discipline, relationships, accountability, and developing others.
Brett and his wife, Michelle, live in the Atlanta area and are actively involved in Sojourn Church, where Brett serves in church leadership.
