Board Member
Aaron Rothermel joined the board of New Horizons for Children out of a deep passion for children knowing the love of Jesus. Every child should grow up surrounded by loving mentors and community. That same passion later led him to Together for Good, where he now serves as Minnesota Site Director, leading a network of volunteer host families who provide short-term crisis and respite care for children and families in need, overseeing the organization’s Minnesota, Rochester, and Hudson sites.
Aaron brings over a decade of leadership in church and nonprofit administration to his work, along with hands-on board governance and fundraising experience. Before joining Together for Good, he spent ten years in full-time pastoral ministry, most recently as Pastor for Children and Families at The North Church, where he built and led volunteer teams, developed discipleship resources, and grew programs to serve hundreds of children and families each week. He also served as
Board Chair of The Davenant Institute, supporting the board through a leadership transition as the organization completed its first decade, laying the foundation for the next phase.
Aaron holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Northwestern—St. Paul, and is ordained in the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Aaron and his wife, Liz, live near Minneapolis, Minnesota, with their children, where they are involved in their local church and grateful for the chance to cultivate a home where it is normal to marvel at God’s creation, and answer God’s call in courageous obedience and adventurous faith.
